Sitting in the gravel garden under the big old tree, the girls laughed happliy as they worked together with their pins and needles to make special dolls for Kiren Rijiju Pema Khandu Sushmita Dev. As the autumn evening set in Nagaland, the doll-makers finished making the most beautiful dolls from recycled fabrics to gift the charismatic leaders from Northeast India as Zuboni Humtsoe and Lothungbeni R Humtsoe travelled to attend the Youth Summit at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh.

When the dolls were presented the dynamic Kiren Rijiju laughed as he held the doll made in his honor. “This is so cute” said Kiren Rijiju. CM Pema Khandu and MP Sushmita Dev were also elated when they saw the beautiful handmade tribal dolls of Northeast India.
